Mexican Tenate Natural color palm.
Delicately made in Oaxaca in the Mixteca region that is known for its palm weaving. The tradition comes from pre-Hispanic times collecting the palms that are cut in the mountains, after that the leaves are transported on mules or donkeys to the workshops. The leaves are dried in the sun for three to four days, natural pigment if necessary and weaving. This process takes a long time, people sit for hours weaving and designing the figures of the baskets.
